Paresh Rawal Reacts to His ‘Cook Fish’ Remark

Paresh Rawal has commented on the controversy caused by his suggestion to ‘cook fish for the Bengalis’. The veteran actor clarified that his statement was ‘misconstrued’ and that it was just a ‘slip of the tongue’. He had suggested that “Gas cylinders are expensive, but their price will come down. People will get employment too. But what will happen if Rohingya migrants and Bangladeshis start living around you, like in Delhi? What will you do with gas cylinders? Cook fish for the Bengalis?”

PARESH RAWAL CLARIFIES HIS ‘COOK FISH’ REMARK FOR BENGALIS

Paresh Rawal clarified his earlier statement and expressed that his words were misinterpreted. He voiced how he was saddened to hear that the Bengali people, whose art, cinema, and literature he admires, had not understood his true intentions. The actor currently stars in Anant Mahadevan’s The Storyteller, which is based on Satyajit Ray’s short story, Golpo Bolo Tarini Khuro.
