Pakistani girls run away from home in attempt to meet BTS in South Korea, found in Lahore

Two Pakistani adolescent girls, 13 and 14, from Karachi's Korangi area had been reported missing. On Tuesday, police reported finding them 1200 kilometers away in Lahore. The teens had left their homes in an effort to go to South Korea to meet the K-pop group BTS.

Senior police superintendent Abraiz Ali Abbasi reported that on Saturday, the teens who are devoted fans of BTS were not to be found in their city. After searching their homes, the police located a diary which held the teens' plans to go to South Korea in order to meet BTS.

BTS is an incredibly beloved K-pop group from South Korea, renowned internationally, including in Pakistan and India. Comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, this seven-member group has become a sensation around the world.

BTS, or Bangtan Boys, was established in 2010. They first emerged in 2013 with the release of their single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, through Big Hit Entertainment. Some of their most successful songs are Blood, Sweat and Tears (2016), Life Goes On (2020), Butter (2021), My Universe (2021), Fake Love (2018), Dynamite (2020), and Boy With Luv (2019).
