The military junta has confirmed its presence in Myanmar Airstrike. The attack happened on Tuesday at 8:00 AM. The airstrike was sudden and disastrous as a helicopter from a military junta open fired at a group of around 150 people that gathered around for a public meeting.

Myanmar is facing huge trouble since the army started governing the state. The military has constantly caused disturbance making it tough for the citizens to survive the propulsive attacks.

Associated Press has recovered ground reports from the Pazigyi village in Sagaing region’s Kanbalu township. An anonymous victim that survived the incident has revealed the details of the incident.

Around 150 people gathered for the opening of a local office of the country’s opposition movement. The incident caught the attention of the Military junta that opposed the event and decided to attack the place of gathering including children and women.

Myanmar Airstrike: According to the Associated Press, a fighter jet arrived at the site and dropped bombs directly over the crowd. The destruction caused a rampage and several people lost their lives soon after the military junta dropped the bomb. The crowd consisted of 20 to 30 women and children that were found dead after the incident. Various opposition governing party members were also a victim of the incident.

The havoc didn’t end there as one and a half hours after the incident, a helicopter arrived from the military’s end that started firing on the ground. Now, the death toll increased to an even bigger extent raising up to 100 people.

The world condemned the ferocious action taken by the Myanmar military.

  • UN Human Rights have stated the airstrike represents the strong upholding of the opposition in the northwest of the country.
  • Former Executive Director of Human Rights Watch, Kenneth Roth stated the Myanmar junta airstrike was saddening news for the world.
  • New Zealand Ministry mourned by saying “Aotearoa New Zealand is horrified by reports of an airstrike in Pazigyi Village with many casualties including children. We call on the regime to immediately end the violence and ensure the protection and safety of civilians in Myanmar”
