According to the department, severe heatwave will prevail in Guna, Tikamgarh, Sehore, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Damoh Sagar, Chhatarpur and Niwari. The nights will be hot here. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for these districts.

Here in Khajuraho, the mercury reached 48.4 degrees. Here, Nautapa has broken the record of three decades. There is intense heat in the entire area.

People in the area are burning like a furnace. The temperature here will increase further in the coming time. The maximum temperature in Datia is also 48 degrees. There is silence on the roads here. There is an undeclared curfew-like situation in the district. People are in bad condition due to the scorching heat. The temperature in Bhind and Gwalior is 47 degrees Celsius.
