Mahima Chaudhry Opens Up On Her 'Dream Debut' With SRK : 'Luck Play Important Role For Me'

Mahima Chaudhry, who made her acting debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in "Pardes," is all set for her upcoming OTT release on Zee5 titled "Signature." The actor discussed her debut role in a recent interview with us. She stated that she was fortunate to share screen time with superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the time.

"When you’re doing your first film, you imagine all kinds of things, but Pardes, I must say, was something that I had never dreamed of because my debut was better than even what a dream would have been," Mahima Chaudhry said in an interview with Media. Because I wasn't the most talented person, something called luck is a big part of the story. There were a lot of people with more talent than I did.

'Lucky That I Got Chance To Make Debut With SRK'

“It's only fair to say that I also did fit the character well because I'm also someone who belongs to a small town, so it was relatively easy for me to play that role with conviction. Although luck did play an important factor in landing me my first film, it was also fair to say that I fit the character well. In the past, it was also common practice to introduce a new female actor alongside a new male actor. However, I was fortunate enough to be launched alongside Shah Rukh Khan, the greatest superstar of the time,” Mahima added.

'I Want To Watch Re-Release Of This Movie' - Mahima

Mahima responded, "Last two years, whatever anniversaries that happened, everyone was like please call Mahima Chaudhry for the same." This was in response to the question of whether or not she would like to see the movie re-released in theaters.
