His name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Gandhiji was married as a child

Gandhi’s Assassination: 1948 Tragedy

After his unwavering dedication and tireless efforts, India ultimately achieved independence on August 15, 1947.
Tragically, just a few months following this historic milestone, on January 30, 1948, Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse while an route to a prayer gathering in New Delhi.
