In Pathaan, John portrays the villainous role of a terrorist leader fighting against India. Siddharth Anand helms the movie, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.

On Tuesday, the trailer for Pathaan was released to the public. The two-minute long video revealed John Abraham's character leading a terrorist group that is planning to attack India. Shah Rukh Khan is cast as Pathaan, a soldier who is summoned to stop the group. Deepika Padukone plays a fellow soldier who aids Shah Rukh in his mission.
