The anticipation for Jimin’s solo album is at an all-time high. Reports in Korean media outlets about the BTS vocalist’s upcoming album release in February have been confirmed by Big Hit, the band’s agency. A source from the agency stated, “The [release] schedule will be revealed once it is finalized.” Reports indicate that Jimin is finalizing the specifics of his February album launch.

The highly anticipated PjM1 by Jimin has elicited an ecstatic response from BTS ARMY and his fans, lovingly called Jimin biases. Rumors of collaboration with British band the Arcades have also been circulating. Fans have been expressing their enthusiasm on social media, commenting that he has been “living in the studio for months” and “working so hard.” One fan speculated that the project could be a “love letter” to his fans, while others are simply “not ready” for the release.

Jimin’s collaboration with Big Bang’s Taeyang, entitled Vibe, created a lot of excitement when it was released as Jimin was not credited properly on streaming platforms for the song. The song has risen up the iTunes and Billboard charts. In 2022, Jimin teamed up with Ha Sung-woon for the Our Blues anthology drama, With You.

Jimin expressed his desire to express a more “raw side” of himself when he spoke with Weverse after BTS’s break in June 2022. He was inspired by the more mature approaches of J-Hope, Suga and RM and yearned to display his own distinctiveness. He said, “I want to show something closer to my true self in formats like music or music videos. Perhaps, I can show something I have never shown before.”
