With 9 gold medals, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals, India is leading the ISSF World Cup 2021 table. Total 15 Indian shooters qualified for it.

With 9 gold medals, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals, India is leading the ISSF World Cup 2021 table. Today was the 7th day of the tournament where shooters from more than 50 nations are competing in different categories. Indian won one more gold taking the total score to 21 medals.

The first round of the day i.e final 50m Rifle was, however, postponed due to an internal dispute between the shooters of India and Hungary. In the second two rounds which were the team events, Indian shooters bagged silver and gold. Here are the updates.

After the defeat, Poland slipped to the fourth spot in the chart. Chink Yadav who hails from Madhya Pradesh has won gold in the individual round whereas the Manu and Rahi finished with silvers.

However, in the 50m rifle event Indian women team failed to bring gold for the country after getting defeated by 4 points from Poland. Gayathri Nithyanandam, Anjum Moudgil, and Shreya Saksena were competing against Poland’s women shooting team in the 50m rifle event.

Manu Bhaker

Manu Bhaker has shown excellent performance in the 10m air pistol mixed event with co-shooter Saurabh Chaudhary on Monday. Both the ace shooters have achieved milestones in the shooting championship.

Saurabh Chaudhary hails from Uttar Pradesh. She is the only shooter who has won gold in the World Championship of ISSF, Asian, and Youth Olympic Games. On the other hand, Manu is the youngest of all to win gold in the World Cup.

Rahi Jeevan Sarnobat has made proud several times and the first Indian woman shooter to win gold in Asian Games. Talking about the medals, she has won 5 gold medals, 2 bronze, and 1 silver medal in a 25m pistol event till now. The 30 years old shooter, Rahi belongs from Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

Adding many more feather caps to their career, all the 15 Indian shooters who have qualified for the tournament are making the country proud in ISSF World Cup 2021.
