iQOO 15 India Launch on November: Promises 5 Years of OS Updates

Vivo's sub-brand iQOO's flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, is set to launch in India. The company has officially confirmed that the phone will launch on November 26th. The device, which will be similar to the Chinese version, will come with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. A new report claims that the iQOO 15 will offer users five years of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates. Available in Alpha (black) and Legend (white) color options, the phone is poised to make a splash in terms of gaming and performance.

According to a report by Smartprix, the company will announce five years of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates for the iQOO 15, which launches on November 26th. iQOO says this decision was made based on user feedback to ensure long-term support for customers. The company is continuously strengthening its software policies.

The current iQOO 13 series comes with FuntouchOS 15 (based on Android 15) and offers 4 years of operating system upgrades and 5 years of security patches. Earlier this year, the iQOO 12 received an upgrade that included 4 years of Android version updates and 5 years of security patches. This support will be even better with the iQOO 15, giving it a tough competition to flagship smartphones from brands like Samsung and Google.
