ICC Test Bowling Rankings Bumrah Achieved 904 Rating Points

Jasprit Bumrah

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah became the second Indian to get 904 rating points in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. He equaled the record of Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin got this many rating points in December 2016. On the other hand, Travis Head has reached the top-4 of the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings after consistently performing well. The reason for this is his good performance against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Head has moved up by surpassing Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yashasvi has now reached number-5. England’s Joe Root is at the top.

Bumrah has so far taken 21 wickets in the three opening matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. He remains at the top of the Test rankings. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada (856) is currently second and Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood (852) is third. However, Ravindra Jadeja has suffered due to not getting wickets and he has dropped out of the top 10.

Travis Head, who scored a brilliant 152 at the Gabba after a century in Adelaide, has reached the fourth position with 825 points. While his compatriot Steve Smith’s century in the third Test has once again put him in the top-10. On the other hand, KL Rahul‘s brilliant performance in India’s first innings in the Gaba Test has helped him gain 10 places. This has taken him to the 40th position. Yashasvi Jaiswal has dropped one place to number five.

Ravindra Jadeja remains at the top in the Test all-rounder rankings. Ravichandran Ashwin, who retired after the third Test, remains at number three. Australia captain Pat Cummins has regained his place in the top-10 after taking four wickets and scoring 42 runs in the third Test against India.
