This year the holy month of Ramadan has started on 24 April, and Muslims from all over the world are observing it wholeheartedly. ‘Iftar’, the Arabic word that refers to the evening meal that Muslims eat to break their daily fast after sunset. But this iftar is quite different amid the Coronavirus lockdown. However, why let this lockdown spoil your iftar? While cooking some other dishes, one can easily prepare this healthy milkshake recipe. For making this, first soak 2 to 3 dry figs, 7 to 8 deseeded dates, 1/4 cup almonds, 1/4 cup walnuts in separate bowls with lukewarm water. Soak all these ingredients for 30 minutes and then strain the dry fruits. Then place the dry fruits into a food processor and add a half cup of chilled milk with 1 tbsp honey to it. Blend all the ingredients to make a thick paste and then add 2 cups of chilled milk. Put it in a glass and serve chilled.

These cheesy little balls are a great and delicious snack recipe. For making this recipe, take a bowl and pour 1 boiled and peeled potato, 2 tbsp boiled sweet corn kernels, 2 tbsp chopped capsicum, a few coriander leaves, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2 tbsp chili flakes, 1/2 tsp basil, 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder and salt as required into it. Mix all the ingredients perfectly to prepare a mixture. After that, put oil on hands and make small bowls from the mixture.
Take another bowl and pour a little water and 2 tbsp maida into it to make a thin paste. Dip the small balls in the thin paste and coat them well with bread crumbs. Repeating the process until all the balls will be coated well and refrigerate them for 30-35 minutes. Take a kadhai, put oil into it, and heat over low flame. Once the oil heats properly, then fry the balls until they are golden brown and crispy. Place them into a plate and serve with chutney and ketchup.

Afghan salad is an easy-to-make and healthy recipe for Ramadan and also called Salata. For making this tasty salad, all you need to do is to chop 1 baby cucumber, 3 tomatoes, and 1 onion and put them in a container. Add salt (as per your taste) and 3 tbsp lemon juice to the vegetables. Mix all the ingredients well and refrigerate for half an hour. Garnish with coriander and serve as a tasty appetizer.

It is a famous and common dish of the Gulf and basically prepared with wheat and chicken. So, don’t forget to try this recipe in this Ramadan. For making this unique dish, all you need is to soak the weight in water overnight. Take a container and add the black pepper, chicken, cinnamon, wheat, and salt as per taste. After that, add the required amount to it for boiling and cook it till the Harees become watery. Then blend it well through a hand blender. You can add coriander and olive oil on top to enhance its taste and serve it hot.
