Facebook’s outage becomes Telegram’s gain with 3 million new users

Facebook and its related services were seen facing global interruption in the last 24 hours. And the outage duration for Telegram proved to be profitable, which allegedly signed up to a mammoth three million new users.

Pavel Durov, Telegram founder and CEO took to his personal Telegram channel to announce. As per the latest technology news, the jump in new users is significant as Telegram recorded 200 million active users by March last year.

Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram all experienced important disruption worldwide, which inspired users to switch to Telegram, which is known for its encrypted messaging service.

Unlike Facebook, Telegram doesn’t run on the model of targeted advertisements and instead uses user donation for work.
