The maximum length of reels that can be posted on Facebook's platforms has been extended. Reels, or short vertical videos, can now be published by users and last up to 90 seconds. The duration of reels was previously limited to 60 seconds on Meta-owned social media networks.

Facebook has recently adopted the 90-second limit reel length that Meta implemented a few months ago. The extra 30 seconds should give creators more freedom to create engaging reels. It is still shorter than TikTok's 10-minute video restriction, which is the longest on any vertical video platform at the time.
