Manoj Bajpayee is honored as the best actor for the movie Bhonsle in 67th National Awards which are announced in Delhi. Manoj Bajpayee is really feeling grateful for receiving an award, he said I am not the only one who should be credited with this award, this belongs to the whole team of Bhonsle. He expressed his sincere gratitude towards the director of the movie Devashish Makhija, his co-actors, producers Mr.Sandip Kapoor, Piyush Gupta, and Saurabh Gupta, and all those who were connected with this movie. Manoj Bajpayee hit the milestone as this is the 3rd time he bagged the National Award, the first time he won the National award as the best supporting actor for Satya (2000), and the second time a special jury award for Pinjar in 2005. He shared this award with another outstanding South Indian Actor Dhanush who received the award as the best actor for the movie Asuran (Tamil).
Bhonsle is a fantastic movie that deals with real-life problems of North Indian Migrants in Mumbai and conflicts between them and locals of the city, Manoj Bajpayee as a lead actor played the role of a retired Police officer who supports the north Indian girl and her brother and they all are pestered by other local people of the city.
Manoj Bajpayee further said that it is feeling like the mission has finally accomplished as Bhonsle movie is an indispensable part of my life, it has to go through lots of struggles and tribulations as it took four years to reach the screen, to arrange the finances, there was no one to support us only we few people looked after it, Sandiip , Piyush was the main people and other producers invested little money into it. But hard work finally paid off and I am really contented with it.
Manoj Bajpayee is undeniably a prudent actor who reached the peak of his career without the support of any godfather. He hails from Belwa, a small village in Bihar, and belonged to a lower-middle-class family, his father was a farmer. He was rejected in the National School of Drama three-times and because of that he even wanted to commit suicide, but life has some greater plans for him and finally, he walked a long way in Bollywood. He did his debut with a one-minute role in the movie Drohkaal in 1994 but the turning point of his career was the movie “Satya”, which brought him to Limelight. Manoj Bajpayee was also praised with another glorified Honour Padma Shri Award for his contribution towards Indian cinema by President Ram Nath Kovind in 2019.
Presently Manoj Bajpayee is recovering from Covid but he turned to the joyful mode and expressed his happiness and said I thank all those in jury who thought that I am really suitable for this award and to all the fans for their love.
He even said, previously I was disappointed many times as most of my competent movies didn’t get the recognition, they were somewhat left out, but Bhonsle getting the award has compensated for it, this journey has finally resulted in accomplishment and all my disappointments are finished now,I am really happy for it and acknowledge it. Lastly, Kangana Ranaut also received the award as best actress for the movies Panga and Manikarnika.
