Shocking News: Elvis Presley's Daughter Lisa Marie Presley Passes Away at 54

On Thursday, Priscilla Presley, the mother of Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, announced her daughter's death, saying she had been hospitalized earlier that day. She was 54 years old. Priscilla said in a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Hours after Priscilla Presley confirmed that her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, was taken to the hospital, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Craig Little reported that paramedics had been sent to a home in Calabasas at 10:37 am due to a woman experiencing full cardiac arrest. Records suggest that Presley lives in the said home.

People magazine confirmed that Presley, 54, had been hospitalized following the reports of TMZ. She had been present at the Golden Globes on Tuesday to honor Austin Butler who had won an award for portraying her father in “Elvis”. She expressed her admiration for his performance in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” at the red-carpet.

She disclosed to ET that she had to take five days to process the awe-inspiring accuracy of Baz Luhrmann's movie; she was so overwhelmed that she couldn't put into words what it meant to her. Just days prior to that, she was in Memphis, Tennessee to commemorate her father's birth anniversary on January 8th at the iconic Graceland.
