What are the best features available in the Citroen Basalt Coupe?

The cabin of Basalt resembles the C3 Aircross and even its dashboard is similar. It has dual digital display and similar AC vents. The company has given white leatherette upholstery in the car. The rear seat of Basalt can be slid up to 87mm, which will provide better under thigh support.

The Basalt SUV coupe has a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver display like the C3 Aircross. Apart from this, features like automatic climate control, cruise control, push button start/stop, keyless entry and wireless phone charging have also been provided in it.

For safety, it has safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking camera and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

How is the exterior design of Citroen Basalt Coupe

Although Citroen Basalt is an SUV-coupe vehicle, some of its design elements are like C3 Aircross. In this you get to see LED projector headlights, V-shaped split LED DRL and a split grille. At the same time, changes have been made in the front bumper of the vehicle, in which you have also been given fog lamps, thin vertical red inserts and a skid plate with silver finish.

The engine will be powerful

Citroen Basalt will have a choice of two engines for performance. It will have a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that comes in the C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross compact SUV, which generates 110hp of power and 205Nm of torque. The engine can be offered with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

At the same time, the second 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine will be available, which generates 82hp of power and 115Nm of torque. For transmission, it has been tuned with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car will give a mileage of 18kmpl with this engine, while the turbo engine will give a mileage of 19.5kmpl with 6-speed MT and 18.7kmpl with 6-speed AT.

What will be the price?

After coming in the market, its ex-showroom price can be 8.5 lakhs. Along with this, it will have to compete directly with Tata Curve, as well as it can also compete with Maruti's Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Toyota Urban Cruiser.
