Chandrayaan 3 Mission: ISRO put Vikram lander and rover Pragyan into sleep mode on September 2 and 4 after fully charging them. Actually, it was night on the moon due to which the temperature there reached minus 150 to minus 200 degrees. In such a situation, there was a risk of damage to the equipment. At present ISRO scientists are waiting for sunrise there.

Preparations are underway to bring Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover of Chandrayaan-3 Mission out of sleep mode today. He was in sleep mode for the last 16 days. Actually, because it was night on the moon, they were put in sleep mode.

Lander-Pragyan remained in sleep mode for 16 days

Former ISRO (SAC) Chairman G Madhavan Nair told news agency ANI that Vikram Lander and Pragyan have been in sleep mode for the last 16 days. During this time the surface temperature was more than -150 degrees Celsius, so how the batteries, electronics, and other systems would function is a matter of concern.

All investigations are completed to restart them.

Former chairman G Madhavan said, “The Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover have been in deep sleep for almost two weeks now. It’s almost like taking something out of the freezer and examining it and then trying to use it. The temperature there is -150 degrees Celsius, how batteries, electronics, and other systems will function in that temperature is a matter of concern. Although the surface has been tested enough to restart it, we still pray Are.”

He said, “The solar heat will warm that device and the charger batteries. If both of these are successfully charged, that will be good enough and there will be a possibility that the system will be operational again. Once it is operational, Over the next 14 days, we will be able to travel further distances and collect more data on the surface of the lunar south pole.”
