A relief for British-Indian businessman and husband of Shilpa Shetty as a Mumbai court has accepted the bail proposal by a lawyer of Raj Kundra. He is given bail with a penalty of Rs 50,000 in the pornography case.

Kundra said there is no evidence against him that could prove the claims mentioned in the charge sheet filed by the Crime Branch. As per the sources, his lawyer said that decision to upload the content was not in the hands of his client.
It was celebrities and producers who used to make decisions regarding the content uploading platform and timing. He further mentioned that the charge sheet does not have any evidence that can prove the allegations made on him.

The name of Shilpa Shetty, his wife and actress, was also dragged into the case to which she completely denied her involvement. Police had also interrogated her but did not find any evidence. After the arrest of Raj Kundra, Shilpa made distance with him saying she was not even aware of his business.
