1) Dia Mirza

This Bollywood Diva is United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) goodwill ambassador. She is a renowned environmentalist and also the United Nations Sustainability Development Goal Advocate. She is constantly active and contributes in spreading the message to save the environment, cleanliness, wildlife protection and climate change.

2) Amitabh Bachchan

The biggest and powerful actor of Bollywood, Big B also supported UN by working with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) as one of the prominent UN Goodwill ambassadors. He was associated with them from 2002 and became their ambassador in 2005. Mr. Bachchan supported UN in various awareness campaigns such as sexual violence against children, increasing threat of AIDS against them. In 2014 he was appointed as UN ambassador for Girl Child. The most imperative role of Bachchan was in the famous polio advertisement campaigns, pleading parents by saying “do boond zindagi ki”.

3) Lara Dutta

Beautiful actress and Miss Universe Lara Dutta made here connection with UN by becoming ambassador of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) soon after becoming Miss Universe in 2000. She has made her contribution by making people aware about the risks associated with irresponsible and unsafe sex and many reproductive and sexual health issues and spread of sexually transmitted diseases and how it affect people especially women.

4) Priyanka Chopra Jonas

UN Goodwill ambassada had the Acclaimed Actress, film producer, author and Miss World Priyanka Chopra. She became the global goodwill ambassador in 2016 and is becoming the face of youth across the world especially females.

She participated in many social functions and spoken about many evils like female infanticide and other increasing problems against girls like violence, sexual abuse and the need for educating girls and was also associated with UNFPA as goodwill ambassador in 2010

Aamir Khan

The most perfect khan of Bollywood was also appointed as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for South Asian Region in 2014. He mainly looked after spreading awareness about malnutrition and hunger problems in children and promoted child nutrition campaigns and programmes.

6) Shabana Azmi

National award winning actress Shabana Azmi  was the Goodwill ambassador of UNFPA in 1998. She was a strong advocate for women and social rights . And continuously fought for various causes like AIDS, population-related problems and child survival. She was also one of the legendary UN Goodwill ambassadors.

7) Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the International Ambassador of the United Nations programme for HIV/AIDS in 2012. She took to spreading awareness on protecting children  by exchanging ideas with them on working with women and breaking social barriers and stigmas associated with disease.
