Complete Connectivity Over Seven Paths

Bengaluru Circular Rail Network: A 287-km circular rail network that could change commuting forever in the city

The roundabout railroad looks to interface key towns around Bengaluru, shaping India’s broadest organization. It rises above current necessities, imagining a transportation answer for the following 40-50 years. Pair with the Bengaluru Rural Railroad Venture (BSRP), it arises as a definitive reaction to the city’s developing vehicle requests.

Unprecedented Funding for Feasibility and Alignment Study

Perceiving the broad consultations on Bengaluru’s roundabout railroad, Priest Ashwini Vaishnaw has supported Rs 7 crore for a practicality and arrangement study. This urgent drive is fundamental for the task’s prosperity and meeting the city’s developing requirements. Whenever executed, the round rail line, surpassing Chennai’s 235.5-km organization, could arise as India’s biggest rural rail line.

Bengaluru Railways’ Version of the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR)

Fundamentally, the round rail line should be visible as the rail lines’ rendition of the Fringe Ring Street (PRR). Serve Vaishnaw gave an understanding of the proposed course, referencing a Nidavanda line by means of Doddaballapur, Devanahalli, Malur, Heelalige, Hejjala, and Solur. The rail-based framework is imagined to improve public transportation, like fruitful models in other worldwide urban communities like Tokyo, London, Delhi, or Bengaluru.

The feasibility and alignment study, set to be conducted by the SWR’s Construction Organisation, is a crucial initial step. Tenders for the study are expected to be called soon, with the report anticipated by September 2024. Subsequently, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) is likely to be initiated in 2025, potentially taking a year to complete. If all goes according to plan, the construction of 80-90 km of the circular railway could be achieved annually. The railway network will consist of at least two tracks and be fully electrified.
