The NCA will work with IPL franchisees to keep an eye on the shortlisted Indian players competing in the IPL 2023, bearing in mind the men’s Future Tours Plan and preparation for the ICC-World Cup 2023, according to BCCI secretary Jay Shah. This is crucial because a lot of key players, including Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shreyas Iyer, are currently recovering from injuries.

India captain Rohit Sharma was asked whether players would take breaks during the IPL, to which he responded that it is up to the franchises and the players themselves to take care of their bodies. If they feel they need a break, they can talk about it and take a break in one or two games.
