Ram Mandir: Today marks a momentous occasion at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir as the consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla takes place. The unveiling of a new image of Ram Lalla from the sanctum sanctorum provides a fresh perspective to the devotees. The special feature of tying a band over the eyes of the idol will be organized on January 22, during an auspicious time.

Timings of Ram Mandir consecration ceremony

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the consecration ceremony, the primary religious proceedings will be conducted by priests led by Laxmikant Dixit. Various luminaries and prominent personalities have received invitations to attend the ceremony. The consecration ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12:20 pm on January 22 and is expected to end by 1 pm on January 22.

Half day holiday in central government offices

To enable participation of employees in the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, central government offices, public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks (RRBs) across the country will remain closed for half a day on January 22.
