The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 is set to begin in the UAE from September 9. This year, eight teams will compete for the title.

The teams participating are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, Hong Kong, and hosts UAE. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian cricket team's squad.

Suryakumar Yadav will captain the side, while Shubman Gill will be the vice-captain. The tournament will be played in the T20 format as preparation for the upcoming matches in the 2026 T20 World Cup.

India will begin their campaign against the UAE on September 10 - the much-awaited clash against arch-rivals Pakistan is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar and T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Men's Asia Cup 2025.

The 2025 Asia Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 9, 2025, to September 28, 2025. The matches of this tournament will be played at two main venues: Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

A total of eight teams will compete in the T20 International format, marking a crucial step in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2026. India's much-awaited clash will take place against Pakistan in Dubai on September 14. The tournament will have a group stage and a Super 4 stage, culminating with the final in Dubai on September 28
