Anupam Kher took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with Sonu Sood and praised the actor, referring to him as his “hardworking friend from a small town”. He also described him as being “kind and generous”.

Anupam Kher and Sonu Sood, who both hail from small towns, recently met and shared a photo of their reunion on their social media accounts. The veteran actor, who was seen in The Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri, expressed his appreciation for Sonu, calling him ‘kind and generous’. Anupam further wrote that the two had worked hard to be successful in Bollywood.

On Tuesday, Anupam Kher shared a picture of himself together with Sonu Sood, both of them beaming for the camera and wearing black. Along with the photo, Anupam tweeted that it was a pleasure to meet the kind and generous Sonu, who had come from small towns and worked hard to get where they are.

The tweet was met with many positive reactions, with people remembering Sonu’s compassionate work during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Anupam was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh in 1955, while Sonu was born in Moga, Punjab in 1973.

At the end of last year, Anupam and Anil Kapoor travelled to Dehradun, where they visited Rishabh Pant in Max Hospital, who had been admitted due to a car accident. Anupam told the press that Pant was in good spirits and that he and Anil had gone to see him as fans. He also mentioned that the blessings of all of India were with Pant, and that he and Anil had made an effort to lift the spirits of Pant’s relatives. Lastly, Anupam reminded people to drive carefully.

Anupam Kher expressed his delight on The Kashmir Files being shortlisted for the Oscars in 2023. The film, which was helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, is among the 301 films from around the world that are eligible for the award. Speaking on the matter, Kher said in an interview with ANI, “I am honored that The Kashmir Files has been shortlisted for the Oscars, though it’s too early to celebrate.

This story was kept hidden for decades and when it was released, it was both welcomed and criticized by many. I’m also in the running for the Best Actor award, which is a humbling and amazing feeling. There are four more Indian films that have been shortlisted and I wish them all the best.”
