Calling on WhatsApp using Android Auto

Google’s update to Android Auto allows users of the latest Pixel and Samsung smartphones to make WhatsApp calls directly from the platform. At the moment, the only option for users is to make traditional voice calls, but with the recent update, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) apps will soon become available. If the feature is successful, the company plans to extend the same functionality to other communication apps. In the future, the possibility to make WhatsApp calls through Android Auto will also be available on older Galaxy and Pixel phones, as well as devices from other Android OEMs.
