The iPhone 15 series is expected to feature the Dynamic Island feature, which was originally introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Dynamic Island is designed to make the best use of the space around the notch on the front of the phone, where the TrueDepth sensor is located. This feature can be used for displaying notifications, controlling music streaming, and other tasks, once app developers offer support for it.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman claims that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 series will feature the company’s Dynamic Island design and that the four models will retain the same screen sizes as the current generation. He further states that the handsets will meet the EU common charger legislation by incorporating a USB Type-C port.

It is rumored that the Cupertino company has swapped out the stainless-steel frame of the Pro models for a titanium one. Furthermore, the upcoming phones are reported to be equipped with a more advanced processor than the Apple A16 of the current Pro models.

According to a recent report, the expected Apple A17 chipset is likely to feature TSMC’s 3nm process, which would provide up to 35 percent more energy efficiency.

Gurman suggests that Apple has focused most of its efforts into preparing for a potential launch of its mixed-reality headset at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
