'Director Approached Me First For Role' - Akshaye

In a conversation with Mid Day six years ago, Akshaye Khanna responded, "No, he didn't," when asked if Amole Gupte

 had approached him about Taare Zameen Par.Because he was Aamir's friend, he went up to Aamir.Amol did not know him personally, Akshaye clarified.The director then informed Aamir that he wanted to narrate a script to Akshaye.
