Alia, Deepika And Kangana Should Ask For Higher Remuneration! Said Former Actress Madhoo

All of us are well aware that Bollywood is a male dominant film industry where actors get more preference and popularity than actresses. If you dig deep, you will find out that even the average male actor gets higher paychecks than the highest-paid Bollywood actresses.

And if you think this happens only because Heros are the main attraction and the audience only visits theatres for them, then you are wrong. There are several actresses in Bollywood who created their own fanbase and are capable to pull audiences to cinemas just by their names.

So, this discrimination is not based on popularity or acting skill, it is because of gender inequality. Over the years, Bollywood actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma have openly talked about it to the media.

And recently, Phool Aur Kante actress Madhoo shared her views on this gender discrimination going on in the film industry. “Kangana, Deepika and Alia Are Actually Pulling Crowds to Theatres,” Said Madhoo

She continued, “Actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt are actually pulling crowds to theatres, so they should definitely ask for higher remuneration. If people are coming to see Deepika, she has the right to ask for the money.”

“In my time, people didn’t come to see just Madhoo on screen; they came to see Ajay-Madhoo, Akshay-Madhoo and so on. I never questioned it because that was the truth.”
