AB de Villiers says that he would like to play cricket again, but he also told that he is not returning to the Indian Premier League or any other franchise league.
The superstar cricketer clarified that he is not considering playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) or participating in South Africa’s premier franchise-based T20 tournament SA20. Apart from this, he can be a part of other leagues. However, he has not clarified when and in which tournament he will participate.
While discussing on a podcast, AB de Villiers said that he can probably still play ODI cricket. He said, “I am not confirming anything, but I can feel it from within. My children are pressuring me to practice with them in the nets. If I like it, then I can probably play informal cricket in a ground somewhere. I already make it clear that I have no intention of returning to leagues like IPL or SA20.”
Who knows about the future, but let’s see. I will try to come back to cricket and see how it works for me. I will do this for my children and would like to see if I can enjoy the game of cricket like before or not.”
AB de Villiers’ return to RCB again?
AB de Villiers has played with Virat Kohli‘s team RCB in IPL for many years and both of them have been good friends. Now de Villiers said, “I am not talking about RCB or professional level cricket. I do not want to face that pressure again. Wherever I go, I will try to enjoy it.”
