Andy Murray finishes in style after a 5-hour and 45-minute long match. The 35-year-old won the five-set battle finally, after an intense rally.
35yo Andy Murray, a former world #1 with a metal hip, who played 5h two days ago, comes back to beat Thanasi Kokkinakis 4-6, 6-7(4), 7-6(5). 6-3, 7-5 in the 2nd longest ever #AusOpen match: 5h45, finished after 4 in the morning.
Andy Murray’s Speech
Andy was running behind his opponent Kokkinakis after the first two sets. However, he managed to equalize the score after the fourth set. After that, Murray asked for a toilet break before the final round, but the chair umpire denied his request as he already used the number of breaks allowed during the match.
Andy Murray lost his temper after the incident, and said “Do you know something? I respect the rules. It’s so disrespectful that the tournament has us out here 3 f****** 4 o’clock in the morning4.10 a1 am are we are not allowed to go and take a break.”

I have no idea how Andy Murray does what he does anymore. He’s not only made of the right stuff, he’s very clearly made of stuff that 99% of the planet have never even heard of. What a player. What a man ! #AusOpen
