Ekta shared Sayantani’s video in which she expressed her opinion on Radhika’s statement, and praised her with the caption, “Well done @sayantanighosh0609 for standing up for your roots.”In a recent interview, Radhika reminisced about her time as a TV actor, when she had to work 48-50 hours a shift. She recalled being instructed to “go to the set, the script will be freshly printed” when she asked for it. Directors often made last minute changes, and whoever was available would come to shoot. She added that when she had input about her character, she was told by the director that they would consider it when they make a film, not a TV serial.

During an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Sayantani commented on her reaction to the interview on Instagram. She said that Mouni Roy, a close friend of hers, had an elegance when she started her career on television that she didn’t find in Radhika’s clip. Sayantani went on to explain that many people belittle television and she believes that it should not be treated as a stepping stone.
