The 80th edition of the Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angles. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosted the event. SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR represented India at this great event.
And as per the recent updates, SS Rajamouli’s RRR has created history as the film’s song “Naatu Naatu” won the Best Original Song award in the Motion Picture category. It is the first-ever Asian song to win this title.
‘Naatu Naatu’ was in competition with “Ciao Papa” from “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio”, ‘Lift Me Up’ from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, ‘Carolina’ from “Where the Crawdads Sing”, “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick.”
“Naatu Naatu” Wins Best Orignal Song at Golden Globe Awards
To represent RRR in Golden Globe Awards 2023, director SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana attended the event. But instead of them, music composer MM Keeravaani received the awards with his wife, Srivalli.

While receiving the award, he said, “Thank you very much for this prestigious award: “This award belongs to SS Rajamouli for his vision, and I thank him for constantly believe and supporting my work. N.T. Rama Rao and Ram Charan, who danced with full stamina.”
The organisers of the event also shared the winner’s announcement on Golden Globe Awards’ official Twitter handle. They wrote with the post, “The winner for Best Song – Motion Picture is @mmkeeravaani for their song “Naatu Naatu” featured in @rrrmovie! Congratulations!”
