Recently he was in the news for the biopic of Punjabi singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, in which Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra played the lead roles.
When Imtiaz Ali was promoting his film, the news had spread that he was coming with the second part of ‘Jab We Met’. Now recently, Imtiaz Ali has broken his silence on making Jab We Met 2 and has also told why he is not able to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan again even if he wants to.
Will Imtiaz Ali really make Jab We Met 2?
Speaking exclusively to reports, Amar Singh Chamkila director Imtiaz Ali said,
“Why do people want a sequel to Jab We Met? If people like that film so much, they can watch the first part. There is definitely a story and a reason for making Jab We Met, but let’s see what happens No, you should never say no to anything.”
Imtiaz Ali Khan hinted in his interview that if he gets a good story then he can consider making a sequel, but there is still suspense on who will be the actors in it.
Imtiaz Ali wants to work with Kareena again
Let us tell you that in the year 2020, Imtiaz Ali had made the sequel of Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan’s superhit film ‘Love Aaj Kal’, but that film flopped miserably at the box office. Imtiaz Ali expressed his reaction about working with Kareena Kapoor Khan again and said that he wants to work with Bebo, but is not getting this opportunity.
Explaining the reason for this, Imtiaz Ali said, “Whenever you work with an actor, there is a responsibility on you that you cannot create something on your own. Only then the idea of working together again makes perfect sense. When you work on a completely different project”.
