From Panchayat to Parliament: President Murmu’s Message to Women of Madhya Pradesh

President of India, Draupadi Murmu, is in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal for attending the Women’s Self-Help Group Conference.

She reached Motilal Nehru Stadium in the city to address hundreds of women. Murmu expressed happiness and said that our daughters are creating their new identity.

She further said that women also have to be educated along with men to make the country self-reliant. Women have the power to go from Panchayat to Parliament.

Chief Minister of MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcomed the President of India and said that she is an inspiration to many women. She is a symbol of women’s empowerment.

He said, she is an idol of simplicity, patience, and discipline. Further appreciating Murmu, Chouhan said that her personality is deeper than the ocean and higher than the Himalayas.

President Murmu has proved that women are strong and have the power to move forward with courage and create miracles in the world, said MP CM.

Firstly, President reached the Tribal Museum at 9 am where she was welcomed by the Padma Shri awardee Bhuri Bai. The Governor and Chief Minister of MP were also present to greet her.

President Murmu also visited the Smart City Park of Bhopal for plantation. She also laid the foundation stone of two projects in the MP, earlier on Tuesday evening.

No Entry Zone in Raj Bhawan

During the visit of President Draupadi Murmu in Bhopal, the area surrounding Raj Bhawan will be closed till 3 pm in the afternoon.

Thus, commuters should be aware of the diverted routes. Even permitted heavy vehicles will not be allowed to move on the roads leading to the venue.

Route from DB city mall to Jail headquarters, Lily Talkies to Police HQ, and Roshanpura Square to Gandhi Park Tirahe are restricted today.
