- Mann belongs to a Jat Sikh Family of Sangrur district of Punjab but he did not stand from this constituency in the election.
- Bhagwant Mann does not come from a political background, he started his career as a comedian in festivals and competitions at college level.
- Until 2008, Mann was famous only in his state but people started noticing him after he participated in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
- Bhagwant Mann also tried his hands on acting and did more than 10 regional movies.
- Besides comedy and deep interest in politics, Mann also takes interest in sports and loves to play volleyball.

- After a series of shows, albums and a few films, he entered politics through People’s Party of Punjab. Mann got his first ticket from Lehra constituency where he could not do well.
- In 2014, he switched the party and join hands with Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party.
- He stood from Sangrur constituency and won with massive number of votes, 2 lakh 11 thousands 721 against SS Dhindsa.

1. In 2018 when Akali leader Bikram S Majithia was accused of drug trade, Kejriwal sent an apology but Mann did not support him. He quit from the post of state chief and protested against him.
2. Bhagwant’s image among public changed from comedian to alcoholic man with time. Once he reached drunk in the martyrdom ceremony of Guru Granth Sahib. Even during Assembly Elections 2022 campaign, Channi targeted him saying how AAP can choose a drunkard as CM Face.
3. He once targeted Lalu Yadav in the Parliament during budget session in July 2014. He said, Lalu has more kids than MPs of Congress.
4. In 2016, Mann said that doing test should be done in Parliament every day to reveal the real identity of those who are trying defaming him.
