The theme for this year’s World Aids Day :
“Communities make the difference”
Communities have always been a driving force to help solve a problem or make a problem bigger and dangerous.
HIV Aids has become one of the most prominent issues of our society across the globe.
Who is there to blame this time? We always find someone to blame, don’t we?
The most common human behaviour when it comes to dealing with emerging problems.
Blaming someone for their mistakes never tends to make the situation better for him/her or even for us, it makes them feel more guilt and they isolate themselves from society and live a lonely, painful and miserable life until their misery is ended by God.
Does it make you a better person? NO.
With so many awareness campaigns being run by the UN and WHO, we still find the majority of the population in a dilemma of thoughts, Should I talk? Shake hands? Eat with them? Will I get the Aids virus from him/her? These are just the overview of questions, The list is never-ending.
We call ourselves the “Advanced” human species with AI and Robots and Technologies that contribute in making our planet “Green” but have forgotten the very basics of “Humanity” i.e Care for other lives. Humanity does not ask for a better world only in terms of Clean Air, Water, and land. Humanity demands Care and Nourishment for the living souls to make the world a better place.
These are the estimated data released by WHO
- Number of people living with HIV at the end of 2018: 37,900,000
- People who were newly infected with HIV in 2018: 1,700,000
- People died of HIV-related causes in 2018: 770,000
- The target number of new cases and deaths per year by 2020: 500,000
We lost 770000 lives in 2018 and counting with each passing day, were these souls worth leaving behind?
The answer is “*No*” every single living soul on this planet matters and “We” 7.7 billion people across the world are responsible for it.
Let’s come together on this World’s Aids Day as one “Community” to save millions of souls across the globe and help them fight their pain and make them feel better.
Our Responsibilities as a Community:
- Spread Awareness
- Spread Real Transmission factors
- Help Recognize Symptoms
- Provide Medical assistance
- Empathize
- Help them overcome daily life obstacles
- Influence to take HIV tests regularly
- Recommend Precautions
These are some simple responsibilities that can make us better human beings and together we can save millions of life that matter!!!
On this World Aids day, Let’s Pledge as “One” to help decrease the life threats caused by HIV Aids every day.
