Classic Legends has been quite busy this month with the launch of BSA Gold Star and updated Jawa 42. Now, Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles has teased the upcoming version of Jawa 42 on its social media handle and confirmed that the motorcycle will be launched on September 3, 2024.

The new Jawa 42 will get the power of 294.7cc liquid cool engine as before. This bike comes with third generation J-Panther motor which is better in terms of performance and power. The new generation engine reduces blow-by for better thermal efficiency, better crankshaft coordination and improved NVH levels. Apart from this, a new free-flow exhaust system has been used in the engine.
The bike comes in three variants
Currently, the Jawa 42 is available in three variants. Its base variant has single channel ABS as standard. The other two variants have dual channel ABS. The mid and base variants have spoke wheels and the top variant has a fully digital instrument cluster with alloy wheels.
Ease of gear change
For power transmission, the new Jawa 42 has a 6-speed gearbox system. It will get an assist-and-slipper clutch which reduces clutch effort by up to 50 percent. The new gearbox will make gear change easier. The first three gears are provided for low speed, while the fourth to sixth gears should be used for strong rides or while riding the bike on the highway.
Features, Colours and Price
Apart from the fully digital LCD display, the new Jawa 42 comes with 18-inch alloy wheels at the front and 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear. You also have the option of buying the bike with spoke wheels. Single and dual channel ABS options will also be available along with disc brakes.
The new Jawa 42 will now be available in a total of 14 options, including six new colours introduced with the 2024 edition – Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue and Celestial Copper Matte. The ex-showroom price of the new Jawa 42 ranges from Rs 1.73 lakh to Rs 1.98 lakh.
