WhatsApp New Feature enables Android users to transfer data from one device to another easily

In 2020, WhatsApp added a range of new features, and is set to release more helpful updates in 2023. Reportedly, one of these updates is a chat transfer feature which will enable users to move their conversations from Android to iOS and from one Android device to another. WABetaInfo has stated that this new feature is currently in development, and will be available in upcoming app updates.

How would the new feature work?

Currently, WhatsApp enables Android users to conserve chat history backups in Google Drive. When switching to a new Android device, users must sign in to their Google account and restore the chat backup in order to restore all chat history, images, videos, and other data of their WhatsApp.

In addition to this, WhatsApp is also exploring the possibility of introducing a 'kept message' feature. Through this, users would be able to store disappearing messages temporarily so that all participants in a conversation can view it.
