Birbhum Violence broke out in West Bengal on Monday where 8 people were burnt as the mob set their houses on fire. 6 women and 2 kids were killed in this incident which left locals scared. More than 50 families from Bogatui have moved to other areas and cities by locking their homes after this.
They say that if they stayed here for a few more hours, they too would have been brutally killed. The matter has now taken a political turn as CM Mamata Banerjee visit the village after the incident.
“I never believed something so barbaric can happen in modern Bengal. Mothers and children were killed,” said Mamata Banerjee.
Why Violence Broke Out in Birbhum?

The police have arrested around 20 people so far in the case and a few police officers are allegedly suspended for neglecting the case.
What happened in Birbhum has moved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said the murderers should not be forgiven. NHRC has also sent notice to the DGP and Police of Birbhum to look into the entire matter and submit their report in 3 days.
A special investigation team is also formed by the West Bengal government to investigate the matter. However, a few opposition leaders call it a political movie to ruin the image of TMC.
