Hall of Fame boxing referee “Mills Lane” Died at the age of 85 on Tuesday

Lane was born in Savannah, Georgia on November 12, 1937

He was an American Boxing Referee and a Professional Boxer

The Fighting champ earned the title of “Pro” by obtaining a record of 10-1 in his boxing career

Mills was entitled as NCAA welterweight boxing champion in 1960

He officiated several major heavyweight championships in 70's, 80’s, and 90’s

Lane was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame on June 9, 2013

The Champ was also inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2013

Lane refereed the soul-stirring Mike-Holyfield’s ear-biting match

Lane also presided over a court show Judge Mills Lane that lasted for three seasons from 1998 to 2001
