The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has opened the online application process for the positions of Assistant Manager and Junior Engineer. Candidates interested in applying for the positions of Assistant Manager and Junior Engineer at WBSEDCL can apply online starting today, November 27th, by visiting the official website, wbsedcl.in. A total of 447 candidates will be recruited for the positions of Assistant Manager and Junior Engineer through this recruitment process. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until December 29, 2025.

WBSEDCL Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification - To apply for these positions, candidates must have a bachelor's or MBA degree from a recognized institution in India. Additionally, candidates must possess a diploma and other required qualifications.

Age Limit (As of January 1, 2025) - The minimum age for candidates is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates.

Age Relaxation - SC and ST candidates will be given a five-year age relaxation, OBC candidates will be given a three-year age relaxation, and candidates with disabilities will be given a 10-year age relaxation.

WBSEDCL Salary 2025

Candidates selected for these positions will be offered a salary ranging from ₹36,800 to ₹1,06,700 per month.

WBSEDCL Recruitment 2025 – Selection Procedure

1. Written Examination

• Total Questions: 85 MCQs

• Total Marks: 85

• Subjects: English, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Proficiency, and post-specific topics

• Duration: 90 minutes

• Negative Marking: 0.33 mark for each wrong answer

2. Interview

• Total Marks: 15

• Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be shortlisted for the interview round.

Final selection will be based on combined performance in the written exam and interview.

Candidates will be selected based on a written examination and interview. In the written examination, candidates will be asked 85 multiple-choice questions for 85 marks from subjects relevant to the position, including English, quantitative aptitude, and computer proficiency. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview. The interview will be conducted for a total of 15 marks. The exam will last 90 minutes. There will also be negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
