Volkswagen Rolls Out Brand New ID 2All

Volkswagen has rolled out the brand new ID 2all which is the only model to use the MEB Entry platform by the Volkswagen group. This will also be utilized for the production variants of the Cupra Urban Rebel concept. 

The ID 2all comes under the Volkswagen ID 3 in the company’s electric vehicle line-up, having VW explaining it as being “as capacious as a Golf and as budget-friendly as a Polo”. The company stated that the target is set to sell the machine at an initiating price of not more than Rs 22 lakh.

Importantly, the ID 2all represents a completely new design language that will show on all of the future EVs of the company. The chief operating officer of Volkswagen, Thomas Schafer stated that “make Volkswagen a genuine love brand.”

The philosophy adds the company showing heritage as a main point of difference from the new EV opponents, and the ID 2 all represents clear approaches from the Polo as well as Golf, having more traditional styling as compared to the ID3.

Before this, Volkswagen unveiled an ID Life crossover concept that was meant to preview the first MEB Entry model, but it now has cut off after it got a bad reception. 

The length of this model from Volkswagen is 4,050mm, which makes it negligibly shorter as compared to the current Polo. It has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm which is much stronger, permitting it much more interior space. 

It also has a 490-liter boot having 1,330 liters of capacity when the rear seats get folded down. 

The Battery, Design, And Features

The vehicle comes with two battery sizes, 38kWh and 56kWh. The maximum range purported of 450km is for 56kWh units. 

The front end features a variety of “rising elements going up” which Mindt revealed are significant to give the car “a confident smile” and same. He further went on stating that, “It is significant for us that the front of a Volkswagen is similar to a human expression.”

The production variant of the ID 2all will be demonstrated in 2025 before setting foot into Spain, side by side with the nearly related Cupra as well as Skoda models.

It will be among 10 EVs that Volkswagen will introduce by 2026, adding the facelifted ID 3, the long-wheelbase Volkswagen ID Buzz, and the ID 7 saloon as well as the compact SUV that will be included in the ID 2 all in using the MEB Entry platform.
