To compete with Samsung, Vivo may soon launch its next foldable Vivo X Fold 5 in China this month. This time it is also being said that Vivo can also introduce its standard foldable flagship in India. While the company has been testing with the foldable for some time now.
Indian users currently only have the premium X Fold 3 Pro, which was launched last year for Rs 1,59,999. However, the company never introduced the standard X Fold 3 in India. Well now this may change soon, as reports suggest that the X Fold 5 may launch in India next month on July 10 alongside the Vivo X200 FE.
One of the lightest foldable phones
The Vivo X Fold 5 may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset that is found in the X Fold 3 Pro, so that Vivo can also reduce the price of this device and compete with brands like Samsung. Vivo has confirmed in the initial teaser that this will be one of the lightest foldable phones in the world.
As per the teaser, the device weighs just 209 grams, which is lighter than the 219 grams of the X Fold 3 and the 236 grams of the X Fold 3 Pro. In terms of thickness, too, the Vivo X Fold 5 is going to be 4.3 mm thick when opened and 9.33 mm thick when folded . While this is not enough to compete with the Oppo Find N5, it will still make it one of the thinnest and lightest foldables.
