  • In this way, you have easily activated your UPI Lite. After this you can do UPI by just tabbing.

In the monetary policy review meeting held last month, the RBI governor announced that various steps are being taken to take digital payments to every part of the country. To make UPI Lite accessible to all, the UPI Lite limit has been increased to Rs 2,000. After this decision, UPI will reach rural areas.

In this, you can add up to Rs 4,000 in a day. UPI Lite features are available on many apps like Phone Pe, Google Pay along with Paytm.

Shares of financial company One97 Communications, which offers services under the Paytm brand, jumped over 11 per cent in early trade on Monday. The stock surged after the company’s founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Vijay Shekhar Sharma announced acquisition of 10.30 per cent stake in Paytm from Antfin (Netherlands) Holding BV.

This deal will be cashless. The company’s share price rise by 11.57 per cent to Rs 887.55 on the BSE. The share price in NSE increased by 11.43 percent to Rs 887.70.
