On September 25, pagers used to send messages suddenly exploded in many places including Lebanon's capital Beirut. 5,000 pagers exploded simultaneously at different places. More than 3,000 people were injured in this. Fighters of the Iran-backed group Hezbollah and Iran's ambassador to Lebanon were also injured in this explosion.
UAE bans carrying pagers and walkie-talkies

The UAE has banned passengers from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies in check-in or cabin baggage on all flights to and from Dubai. The statement issued said that if a passenger is found to have a pager or walkie-talkie, the Dubai Police will confiscate it.
Lebanon has also taken a similar decision
After the pager and walkie-talkie explosion, passengers traveling from Lebanon's Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport have been banned from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies on all flights.

There is no flight between the UAE and Lebanon right now. Apart from this, all flights have been stopped till October 8. At the same time, all regular flights to Iraq (Basra and Baghdad), Iran (Tehran) and Jordan (Amman) have also been canceled till October 5. The statement issued said that flights to Iraq, Iran and Jordan have been stopped till further notice.
Let us tell you that Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways resumed flight services between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Tel Aviv (TLV) on Thursday. Apart from this, flights from Dubai to Iraq, Israel and Jordan resumed on Friday.
