The director of every child's favorite cartoon ‘Tom and Jerry’ has died on Thursday night at his penthouse in Prague. Petr Himmel, his Czech publisher, said about his death to the Associated Press. Also, he said to the Associated press that Oscar-winning illustrator died ‘unexpectedly’. Eugene Merrill Deitch, whose nickname was Gene was famous for creating animated cartoons such as Tom Terrific, Munro, Popeye, as well as Nudnik.
