Thar: LX 4×4 Or RWD AX (O); Which One Is The Best?

The Mahindra Thar is a very famous lifestyle off-roader in India and ever since its introduction the model is always in demand. The customers got very excited when Mahindra introduced the RWD model of the SUV. 

Now, the firm provided the model in RWD and 4WD configurations which can be picked up with either a soft top or a hard top. The company also provides the car with the option of a petrol and a diesel powerplant also. 

Here is a comparison of the Thar LX 4×4 diesel model and the RWD AX (O) diesel variant. 

Design Of The Thar Models 

The exteriors of Thar LX 4×4 come with Adjustable Headlights, Fog Lights - FrontPower Adjustable Exterior Rear View Mirror, and Manually Adjustable Ext. Rear View Mirror, Rear Window Defogger, Alloy Wheels, Intergrated Antenna. 

Talking about interiors, LX 4×4 comes with a Tachometer, Electronic Multi-Tripmeter, Fabric Upholstery, Glove Compartment, Digital Clock, Digital Odometer, and a Height Adjustable Driver Seat.

Engine, And Transmission

The LX 4*4 diesel model comes with a 2184cc engine displacement which is bigger than that of RWD AX (O), which stands at 1497cc. The maximum power and torque generated by LX 4*4 is 130bhp@3750rpm and 300nm@1600-2800rpm respectively. At the same time, RWD AX (0) has 117bhp@3500rpm of maximum power and 300Nm@1750rpm of torque.

Talking about transmission, LX 4*4 is automatic and RWD AX(O) is manual with 6 gears.
