Vivo has quietly introduced the Vivo V60 Lite in Panama, and while it may look like last year’s model, there’s one major upgrade under the hood. This refreshed version becomes the first smartphone in the world to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor.
At first glance, you might think this is just a rebranding exercise. But the chipset swap tells a slightly different story, and honestly, it’s a smart move from Vivo.
Vivo V60 Lite Chip Upgrade
The new Vivo V60 Lite (model V2549) replaces the older Snapdragon 685 found in the previous 4G version. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 is designed for improved efficiency and smoother everyday performance, especially for users who don’t necessarily need 5G connectivity.
This makes sense in markets where 4G still dominates. Instead of chasing specs for headlines, Vivo seems focused on battery life, durability, and stable performance, something regular users actually care about.
Everything else? Almost identical.
Vivo V60 Lite Display & Camera
The Vivo V60 Lite continues with its impressive hardware package:
6.77-inch AMOLED display
FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2392 pixels)
120Hz refresh rate
HDR10+ support
Optical in-display fingerprint scanner
32MP front camera
On the rear, you get:
50MP main camera (PDAF)
8MP ultra-wide lens
4K video recording at 30fps
For a mid-range 4G device, this camera setup is solid. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s dependable, and in 2026, consistency matters more than gimmicks.
Vivo V60 Lite Battery
Now here’s where Vivo really deserves credit.
The Vivo V60 Lite packs a massive 6,500mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery with:
90W wired fast charging (0–100% in about 52 minutes)
6W reverse wired charging
Bypass charging support
In my opinion, this is the real highlight. While brands are obsessed with slim designs, Vivo has prioritized endurance. For heavy users, gamers, streamers, or people constantly on WhatsApp and Instagram, this battery is a blessing.
Add to that IP65 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliance, and you’re looking at a phone built for real-world use, not just spec sheets.
Vivo V60 Lite Software and Storage
The phone runs:
Android 15
Funtouch OS 15
Storage options include the following:
256GB (8GB/12GB RAM)
512GB (12GB RAM)
UFS 3.1 storage
No microSD card slot
It also supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C.
Color options listed in Panama include Black and Blue, though global availability hasn’t been confirmed yet. Pricing details are still under wraps, but the previous variant was priced around €390.
Is This a Smart Strategy?
Here’s my honest take, Vivo isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel here. The Vivo V60 Lite is essentially a refined refresh. And that’s not a bad thing.
Instead of releasing a completely new device, Vivo upgraded the processor and kept everything else stable. For buyers who want long battery life, smooth AMOLED display, reliable cameras and durable build.
This phone ticks the boxes.
Sure, it doesn’t scream “flagship killer.” But it doesn’t pretend to be one either.
If priced competitively, the Vivo V60 Lite could quietly become one of the most practical mid-range 4G phones of 2026.
And sometimes, practical wins.
