Tech company Tecno has launched the Tecno Pova Curve 2, a new smartphone in its Pova series. This phone is specifically designed for users who want a large battery, a smooth display, and powerful performance. The company claims it is India's first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor.
Notably, it boasts a large 8000mAh battery, making it the company's largest-ever phone.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 has been launched in India in two storage variants:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹27,999
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – ₹29,999
The phone's first sale will begin on February 20th. As part of the launch offer, the company is offering a discount of up to ₹3,000. No-cost EMI options are also available for 3 or 6 months.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 features a premium and slim design. It's just 7.42mm thick and weighs 195 grams. Despite its large 8000mAh battery, the phone feels quite thin and light. The phone features a 3D curved AMOLED display with thin bezels and a punch-hole selfie camera in the center.
The back panel features a polycarbonate back panel with a glossy finish. The camera module features a vertical stripe design. The phone comes with an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating. It is available in Mystic Purple, Storm Titanium, and Melting Silver color options.

The phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2644×1208 pixels.The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, making gaming and scrolling smooth. Its peak brightness is 4500 nits, making the screen clear even in bright sunlight. It also has 230Hz PWM dimming. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

For photography, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 features a dual rear camera setup.

A 13-megapixel front camera is available for selfies and video calling. The camera includes Night Mode, Portrait Mode, and other basic AI features.
Performance
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor, built on 6nm technology. Its clock speed is up to 2.4GHz. This is India's first smartphone to launch with this chipset. It supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which makes apps load faster and improves multitasking.
The phone runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. It supports Ella AI 2.0, which also supports Indian languages. For connectivity, it supports 20 5G bands.
Battery and Charging
The Tecno Pova Curve 2's biggest highlight is its 8000mAh battery. The company claims that the phone can easily last up to 2 days with normal use. For charging, it has 45W fast charging support.
The phone supports dual 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and dual SIM. Stereo speakers are provided for audio, although it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
